Prologue: The Might of the Empire

The Empire once spanned a thousand thousand worlds, but now it is broken.  The remnants of the Empire exist only in the form of unorganized groups of various sizes trying to hold on to the scraps of the once great galactic power.  However, Lord Admiral Mallagant and his forces have been able to concentrate several of these groups into one combined effort.  His power now spans several sectors and these sectors, torn by years of conflict, are finally beginning to prosper once again.  The Lord Admiral and his forces are steadfast in their efforts to reunite the remaining Imperial sectors and then to retake the galaxy in the name of the Emperor.

Even though Lord Admiral Mallagant tried to adhere closely to Emperor Palpatine's design, the resurrected Empire has some major differences.  First of all, there is almost a complete absence of bureaucracy.  In the old Empire the politicians could control the military; however, in the new Empire the politicians that exist do so only because the military has yet to find a good reason to remove them or because they are not typical of their peers and serve the Empire above themselves.

Another major reason is the formation of a new era of Dark Jedi.  These Dark Jedi, while still elusive and mysterious, are more prominent than ever.  They are found in many forms, from Imperial Intelligence agents to military officers and special forces operatives.

This sourcebook is to provide information on the structure of the Imperial Military, its rules and offenses as well as its rewards and honors.  The focus here is on the military because it is by this force that the Empire will reign.
