Operation Imperial Resurgence: The Rimma Run

The conquest of Elrood Sector has yielded an amazing response by other factions of the Imperial Remnant. After several months of secret negotiations, Operation Reunification has been successfully concluded. Every major warlord and many of the minor shards of the once glorious Empire have been united now under a common goal; no more fighting amongst one another for scraps.

The renewed Empire has already begun to unleash devastating attacks in other regions. The New Republic has lost three systems in the last month to forces it previously considered insignificant. Now these forces launch assaults with renewed numbers, to the bewilderment of the New Republic defenders. The New Republic now faces a relentless and determined enemy, which seems to have sprung up out of thin space seemingly overnight.

Operation Imperial Resurgence is Lord Admiral Mallagant's way of paying back the New Republic for its rebelliousness. His Empire is now on the offensive and time is of the essence. The Lord Admiral is supplying the previous splintered factions with men and material to wage war against the New Republic, but the apparently endless resources are indeed not endless at all. In order to maintain the advantage, every opportunity must be seized and every advantage exploited.

The objective is simple, take control of the entire Rimma Trade Route, from Tantra to Abregado-rae. It will take all of the Empire's cunning to insure victory. Glory to the Empire!

The Rimma Run

The Rimma Trade Route runs from the outer Core worlds to the remote, Imperial stronghold, Kathol Sector. At maximum velocity, it would take an Imperial Star Destroyer at least six weeks to make the entire trip.

	Trade - All along this trade route are hundreds of worlds, each with its own imports and exports which generates the traffic that passes up and down the Rimma. There are several systems with key industrial facilities, namely Sullust and Thyferra. Sullust is home to the SoroSuub Corporation and Thyferra exports the vast majority of bacta. Trade is restricted past Tantra, due to New Republic embargos against Elrood Sector and the other sectors under Imperial control.
	The New Republic - The New Republic controls several systems along the route, some are members and others are garrisoned due to their previous pro-Imperial past. Notably the major shipyard of Sluis Van is located just off the route. It, and the neighboring Sullust System are well defended. The area between Eriadu and Thyferra is heavily patrolled by New Republic warships.
	The Empire - The Empire has a major presence at the far end of the Rimma Run. Tantra has been blockaded by Interdictors and all incoming trading vessels are boarded and screened. The Empire, however, maintains its own trade network between the Elrood, Minos, and Kathol Sectors, and these sectors are now flourishing with industrial capabilities. Elrood Sector is now heavily patrolled, in addition to the heavy defenses in place in the Minos Cluster and of course the Imperial stronghold in the Kathol Sector.
	The Expanse - Also known as the Tapani Sector, this region of space is under the control of the Tapani Houses. The boundaries of the Expanse have not changed for several thousand years, though provincial boundaries are in flux. The Expanse was relatively stable during the reign of Emperor Palpatine, as he managed to control the greedy "royalty" of the sector. The New Republic has tried diplomacy in the region, but the eight houses are now on the brink of war. On the outskirts of the Expanse are the shipyards of Fondor, where the Executor was constructed and Tallaan, which boasts a well independent shipyard.
