Background: The cadets lined up shoulder to shoulder standing before their small building that has been there home for the last 7 months. All their uniforms crisp and neat… Except for one. The Sergeant paced along the line and stopped in front of Cadet Summers, he turned on his heels his face inches from the young girls. “Cadet Summers, Is there a reason your uniform looks as it does?” He shouts in her face, using one of his hands to tug at the bottom of her shirt that was sticking out of her pants, then to the belt that wasn’t even done up. He didn’t even have to look down to know that one of her boots wasn’t even tied. The girl cocked her head. “I really don’t think military Green is my color Sergeant Sir.” She replied in a very calm and Relaxed Voice. The Sergeant moved back and throws his cap down onto the ground at their feet. “Damn you girl. I’m very tempted to make you do 200 laps around the course but we are we kidding with that.. you would just dog it wasting everyone’s day.” He says moving back looking at the other 20 Cadets. “So I think what I’ll do today like almost all the other days is have your friends run the course for you.” If looks could kill at that moment Cadet Summers would be dead 20 folds. “Oh Sir they aren’t my friends. I believe they hate me.” She says smiling.

The Sergeant almost moved to Strike but pulls back Red faced, “You heard the lady men. 100 times around the Course. You can thank her when you’re done.” The Sergeant Yelled.

-------

Sergeant Moore looked out of the large windows over looking the Training ground, he watched with pride as he watched his newest group of Cadets running the course they had gotten very good at running the Gauntlets. There laying out in the middle of the course bathing in the warm summer sun is Cadet Summers, the Sergeant could feel his heart race with Angry. “They are going to kill her.” He muttered to himself.

“What was that Sergeant?” the voice spoke behind him. Sergeant Moore turned shaking his head. “It was nothing Captain.”

“Drink.” Captain Ohms offered holding up a glass of some strong brown liquor. The Sergeant quickly Accepted the offering and throw it down. “Sir. What are we doing to do with Cadet Summers? The training is almost over and she is no where ready for the army. If I had my choose I would have sh..” he is cut short has his CO pours him another drink and holds up his hand to stop his old friend. “She isn’t here by my wishes she is here because her father requested it and yes if it wasn’t for her father she would have been shoot a long time ago.” He finishes with a shoot of his own drink then bangs the glass down on his wooden table. “We send her through. We are done with her, let her be someone else’s problem.”

-------

“Tell me Captain. Has my daughter showed good qualities to become an Imperial officer?” The older man said looking out the same window Sergeant Moore had looked out days earlier.

“She is her father’s daughter.” Captain Ohms replied to the General. The older man with Graying hair turned to face the Captain. “Really?” there was surprise in his voice as he asked.

“Honestly Sir?” The Captain replied looking nerves as he asked. The General nodded. “Of course. Speak Frankly” His eyes narrowed as he studied the Captain.

The Captain took a sigh. “She is the worst student he have had in here. She lacks any respect or discipline.”

The general thinks for a moment and nods. “And you still let her Graduate?” He raises an eyebrow towards the Captain.

The captain before replying opened the drawer of his desk and pulled out two glasses and a bottle, he poured a glass with shaking hands, then downed the contents. “Sir, we have tried everything but the Girl doesn’t listen. She knows you’ll get her out of any trouble and we are restricted on what we can do because she is your daughter.” The General nodded again. Then gave the Captain a Salute. “I’m sorry to have wasted your time and the time of this facility.” He says marching out of the room. The Captain took another sigh and drank another glass of the Liquid, sitting back in his chair.

-------

General Summers paced in his Study, between each pace of the desk he took a moment to look up at the wall. Spread over it where items of history, honor and pride. There was his father, a 1/10 holo image of him in uniform with all the Decorations he had been awarded, to either side clips from papers and reports, just under rows of medals and given this old Rank cylinders. The Generals brother died in the line of Duty was displayed with equal honor and as he looked out over the wall it was like a giant family tree, Generations of members of his family spanning an impressive military history, not just in the Empire but also the old Republic and be on. The door of the Study opens with a hiss. He turned to see his daughter waiting. She looked at the wall and rolled her eyes. This only brought a frown to her father’s face.

“This wall may not be important to you but it’s my life. It’s the life of our family.” He states turning back to look at the wall in Awe. There was a long moment of quiet. “I have talked to your instructors at the Academy.” He says leaving it there to see what she well reply as he adjusts one of the medals straightening it out.

“As I had told you before you sent me to that horrible place. The military isn’t in my blood.” She said very matter of fact. The General spins on his heels and slams his hand hard on the desk looking his daughter straight in the eyes. “The Army is in your blood because you are of my blood. If only I could have had a son.”

The words sting Rebecca.. they always did, it wasn’t the first time he had said that.. Most likely not the last either.

“Your records from Training and the Academy show that you have learned what they taught you. You are capable with a blaster, you skills in the medical Field, well I don’t approve have been top of your grade but you have no respect for the uniform, for the rank, for me.” He says his hands still pressed down on the desk looking her right in the eyes. “Maybe I’m not the problem maybe it’s you.” She mutters quietly. “What was that?” Her father snapped. “I said. Maybe it was to easy for me because of you.” She says with a smile, even her new words held an Edge. He frowned at here. Straightening himself up. “I’ll make you a deal.” He said looking back at the wall.

Rebecca couldn’t wait.. this should be good.

“I’m going to transfer you to a special unit, one I don’t even know much about. I well not be able to pull rank or help you in anyway.” He says turning back to his daughter. “You well Service the Empire for 2 years as part of this special unit. If you die during those two years I well make sure you well find a place of honor on this wall and I well tell everyone of my brave daughter who died fighting for the empire.” He said proudly. Rebecca didn’t seem all that impressed with this offer so far. “That’s assuming you aren’t shoot by your CO.” He adds. There was no humor in his words. “If you live to finish your 2 years of Duty, you are welcome to quit. In fact you can retire from the military and I’ll never force you to try it again or to follow the Family history. I well give you a cred card with no limit and you can follow what ever dream you have at the time.. it was breeding dogs for show wasn’t it not.” He couldn’t remember it was never something important to him or even something he cared about. “It was cats father. Hunting cats. And that was when I was 12.” Rebecca replied. She didn’t show it but she felt she was stuck in a hard place the offer was tempting.. how hard could it be.. 2 years.. it was just about as long as she has already do in training and Schooling to make father happy not that it seemed like she could. Then she could become a Fashion Designer or oh oh a Hovercar racer. She nodded to her father in agreement with the offer. Her father smiled proudly.. or maybe it was in victory. “Oh Great what have I got myself into.” She thought to herself.

-------

Rebecca had taken a window seat she had never been off world and for the chance of seeing space she couldn’t pass up the chance to watch it all from the small porthole her seat was next to… but that had been 26 hours ago and over 7 different types of ships and shuttles. After about the 3rd time into hyperspace the magic was gone. She set back in her chair close to the cockpit of the small shuttle she could see the pilot and co-pilot.. and why not.. she was the only one in the shuttle with them. She thought back to when she was little when her mother was dying and Doctors kept coming up to her and saying they where sorry. She didn’t blame them, she know they tried their best, and even thought she know it wasn’t her father’s fault.. she hated him for not being there. “The Empire needs me. It’s my duty.” He had said. She shakes her head as she looked up from her day dream and towards the cockpit. “So how much longer she asked.”

“Maybe another 2 hours.” The co-pilot answered. She had thought of getting their names but honestly she meet so many people she would most likely never meet again in this long trip it wasn’t really worth the effort. “So what can you tell me of where I am going?” she asked hope that at least the crew before her had a better idea then the others before them.

“The quartran Belt. That’s were the end of the line is.” The co-pilot said turning around and smiling at her. She signed in Relief. “Wait.. does that mean you know what it is we are going to?” She asked not sure if she was permitted to speak about it with the crew. The co-pilot laughed. “Of course we were sent out to get you, were we are going is our home also.” The man said not really looking at his panels but really why would you if you are in hyperspace. Rebecca looked excited. “Oh really?” she said with a smile. “Well can you tell me about the place? All I heard is it’s where the best of the best go, some special operations group or something.” The man looked her up and down then looked at the other older man and then grinned.

“Well The group is made of the best of the best, hard nosed killers for the empire. I’ve heard they even have Jedi’s working for them.” He says grinning.

“Oh really?” Rebecca’s eyes widened in amazement. “Do they get hurt a lot?” she asked

He thinks a moment. “Oh yes all the time. Sometimes half the group doesn’t return, it’s said they would gladly lay down their lives for the Lord Admiral and the Empire.” He says. “I know I would.” The pilot added not looking back. The co-pilot nodded. “So you joining the base’s medical staff.” He asked after nodded his agreement to his CO.

She shakes her head. “Oh no. My understanding is I’ll be joining the Spec Op team themselves.” She said ever matter of Fact. The co-pilots face whitened. “Oh.. Sorry ma’am to have bothered you.” And with that he turned around and faced the panel of slow blinking lights. The rest of the trip both men just looked straight forwards and focused on control the shuttle… the change in the men was kind of shocking.. but also some what likeable. She had always relied on her father to get what she wanted but those men where scared of her because she was part of this team. She wasn’t about to tell them she was a medic… maybe they thought she was a Jedi.. She liked the power she was feeling.. She focused on some stop on the wall. “Oh maybe I’ll become and Jedi master after my 2 years.” She thought to herself, letting out a little snicker.. this of course worried the men even more.
Personality: She is here because she has to be. Not because she wants to. She is little Respect or duty about her in a military sense but don’t let that fool you. She is very strong about her Feelings of the empire and that of the Lord Admiral and when she sets to do something she does it right.
Objectives: To finish her 2 year tour of duty and follow her life long Dream to be Holocast news woman.. or was it a Pro Speed ball player, no no it’s to open her own night club.. or was it be a great Imperial navy officer and command a giant squadron..
A Quote: “I said. I would love to put a bandage well I pass. Sir.”
