Background: Halis Leevold was born on an Imperial controlled world out on the Rim. His childhood was a pretty standard one. His parents were not rich, but never had to worry about money. His dad was retired from the military, so had much of what he needed provided to him. Went to a private school, everything he needed was provided for. He was very smart, picked up his studies quickly, and had lots of friends. It was what most would call a very good childhood.

This lasted until Halis' 16th birthday. His parents had saved enough to allow him to go lunar camping with his friends. He was both surprised and ecstatic. He had the time of his life up there, and he even got the pleasure to watch a meteor swarm from the other side just before his pickup arrived. It was quite beautiful, and much more deadly looking from this side of things.

Upon his return home he found emergency crews packing up at his house, and by the looks of it half his house had collapsed. He asked the crews what happened and they said a meteorite had hit the house, and that both his parents had been inside when it hit. They did not survive.

Halis collapsed to the ground stunned and overheard the crews getting a call that the military base was under attack and they were rushing off to go help out there. The anger started to well up inside him as he bet the rebels were using the shower as cover for their landing craft. He ran inside the house to grab his dad's pass, and hoped on the last vehicle leaving his house without anyone noticing. By the time they got there, much of the base was in flames, but the command bunker is deeper within the ground. He used his dad's pass to get access to the bunker. It turns out that a rebel fleet was incoming, outnumbering their defensive fleet 2:1. Halis recognized the maneuver that the rebels were using from his dad's war stories. He quickly shouted it out to the room, and told them how to counter the maneuver. Most of the room stopped and stared at the 16 year old boy in the command center.

The commander recognized Halis from his similarity to his father and allowed him to stay and watch, but he was to remain quiet for the remainder of the engagement. The local forces had followed Halis' suggestion and managed to hold off the Rebels long enough for reinforcements to arrive. The rebel fleet was crushed. He was escorted to the base barracks for temporary lodging until something more permanent could be found. Halis went back to his home to search for the meteorite, and managed to find it, about the size of his fist of solid metal.

From the money he got from his parents death, he has the meteorite made into a dagger which he will always keep on him at all times, as a reminder what the rebels stand for, what they are. Anyone who can murder people in their own home to have a stealthy approach to a military base should be stomped out of existence.

He applied for naval officer training like his father was, so he can bring the fight back to the rebels, and was accepted with the glowing recommendation from the commander of the base at the time, and easily made it through officer training. He found he had an easy time learning languages so he picked up a few languages the rebels would most commonly use. He wanted to know all he could about his enemy, and the language they spoke would be a good insight to their psyche he thought. He also quickly realized that all the stories his father had told him about old naval battles he had participated in had giving him great insight to the tactics of capital ship combat. He had an easy time graduating at the top of his class due to both his great intellect, and the preparation his father had given him growing up.

Personality: Halis is the picture perfect imperial officer. He is always professional while on duty, and generally kind while off duty. As long as you stay on his good side, he is polite and kind to you. He dead set on killing every last rebel in the galaxy, and takes every opportunity he can do to so. He fidgets with a dagger he had constructed from a meteorite.
Objectives: Kill every last rebel in the galaxy.
