Drake, Alex

Background: Alex was born on the planet of Orron III (CSA Space), where he watched the stars. He longed to be with them. When he finally came of age, he joined the Empire and the mighty navy. Even though he was a CSA citizen he still chose the Empire over the CSA Navy. He believed the CSA Navy missed something very important that the empire Navy didn't. This that was honor and duty. In the CSA the only thing that mattered was Credits, never the people or Law and justice. After finishing his training in the Naval Academy Alex was assigned to a Carrack Class Light Cruiser, under the command of Captain Van Graaf, Alex quickly climbed the ladder and became an officer. (Alex loved climbing the ranks. It was almost starting to be a game to the young officer. But when Alex became Captain after hard work and time, he learned that rank didn't matter. What matters is to serve the empire, to keep order and to do the best you can. If High Command awards your work, great, and if they don't, it doesn't matter. Your doing your job, you enjoy it, what more can you ask for?) One day while out on a Patrol mission around Bespin, the crew turned on Captain Van Graaf, and anyone that stood along side him. Almost the whole crew turned against him. Only 32 Troops and a handful of Crew stood with Captain Van Graaf. The only officer that stood by him was young Alex Drake. (Captain Van Graaf was like a father to Alex. Captain Van Graaf was Alex's mentor, teacher and even in these ruff times Alex would stand beside his commander and friend.) They fought throughout the ship until reinforcements could get there to help. After 4 hours of fighting the reinforcements came. To their surprise, when they got there was only Captain Van Graaf (badly hurt), 5 troopers and Commander Drake still holding off the traitorous crew. Alex Drake was awarded with a promotion for staying by his commander and for serving the empire so well. Alex wished that he could still serve under Captain Van Graaf, but sadly Captain Van Graaf retired after Alex's promotion to captain. The now Captain Drake was assigned a new ship. A Dreadnaught Class Cruiser, which he named the Star Runner. He took her with pride, and fought in great battles with her. After commanding the Star Runner for many years, he learned to love the ship, its flaws and special characteristics. It wasn't an ISD but he believed that his ship could beat an ISD any day (Even if it didn't have any fighters on it). After several years doing patrol missions and customs runs, the Star Runner and its crew were assigned to a Squadron.

Personality: Always thinks things through, never rushes head long in to anything. To live this long in the Empire is to learn patience and always plan for every out come. Alex is loyal to the Empire and what it stands for (Order) He will follow His leader's orders, even if he disagrees.
