Capsule: The Givin homeworld of Yag'Dhul is small, but dense.  The three large moons and a low frequency retrograde rotation combine to produce some of the most severe tidal effects known in the galaxy.  Yag'Dhul's retrograde rotation is 175 standard hours, but it takes Yag'Dhul and its moons only 53 standard hours to orbit each other.  Therefore Yag'Dhul's oceans and even its atmosphere flow from one side of the planet to the other in a pattern predictable only through the application of advanced mathematics.  All Givin cities are located in high mountain peaks where danger from the rampaging oceans is slim.  The buildings are hermetically-sealed and capable of withstanding even the most severe tidal storms.  The spaceports are located underground.

The Givin have managed to evolve in such an unstable environment, and even become an important galactic manufacturer.  High Tech computer goods are common exports.  They colonize several planets in the vicinity of their homeworld and their society revolves around the use of complex mathematical equations.

Yag'Dhul receives a large number of freighter traffic as it lies on the intersection of two major trade routes, the Rimma Run and the Corellian Trade Spine.
